— BA Accounting Graduate“I began my undergraduate studies at a traditionally paced university online in 2024 with no previous college experience or credits at the age of 36. I took to it quickly and ended up finishing my first semester with 15 credits under my belt. I ended up having issues with my first college’s financial aid office and bristled at their exorbitant tuition fees, so I went searching for another institution to attend that fall. I knew I could finish a lot of credits in a semester and wanted an opportunity to accelerate my degree, so I was looking for somewhere I could do that.
After browsing endless Reddit threads, I found a resource created by PlottedPath that outlined the strategy of using Sophia Learning and Study.com in conjunction with attending UMPI. Following their advice, I took as many classes as I could on Sophia and enrolled at UMPI. I will be completing my BA this Spring of 2026, in a total of 5 sessions (I took one summer off). I have achieved this in large part due to PlottedPath’s amazing advice. UMPI has been an amazing school as well, and I am so happy that I found it.
I start my graduate studies this Fall and will have gone from 0 credits to a Master of Social Work in 4 years total. This has saved me so much time, money, and sanity.
